If you are a user of Blender (Blender Foundation) and have ever wondered about Maya (Autodesk) and what it’s like to use, or vice versa then this meetup will go into a high level look at the two programs.
Or even if you’ve never wondered, but are keen in to 3D modeling and 3D CG then this may be of interest to you as well. Or for anyone with an interest in 3D CG.
The Meetup will cover some key concepts in both the programs, regarding modeling, UV unwrapping and texturing. Also the User interfaces and rendering.

Please note – this is not a view on what software is better. I have found them similar in what I can output, but there are pros and cons to both.
This meetup is not a step by step technical comparison, but a fairly highlevel relaxed presentation and overview.
Please also note that I have far more experience using Blender and then Maya. So I may not be able to answer all questions regarding Maya.
