Introduction
The film director, Stanley Cubrick, once said, if you want to be a director then pick up some film, a camera and getting filming. This piece of advice, intuitive to many, crosses multiple fields of work, from carpentry to computer programming, for to get good at your craft you need to practice and work at it regularly.
CG modeling is not something I only love doing, but something I have also studied, practice and pay diligent attention in honing my skills in.
From the time I did my first tutorial in Unreal Engine, I was hooked on creating scenes with atmosphere and life. I spent hours working on environments, studying and learning from others and trying out new ways and techniques of creating environments.
From Unreal engine I went on to learn the 3D program Blender and have spent countless hours making models and creating animations. In this process I also learnt the texturing programs Substance Painter and Substance Designer.
All these programs together allowing me to create some of the most wonderful scenes, models and animations that are truly an enjoyment and privilege to bring to life. I love the work I do and would be more than happy to create something with you.
About Me
Passionate in creating scenes, environments and the elements that make them.
Chris graduated from University in Manchester where he studied film and wrote his dissertation on Vaudeville’s influence on early comedic movies, and how great performers such as the Marx Brothers, Harold Lloyd and Laurel and Hardy brought their comedic craft to the big screen.
After leaving University he has worked at media and technology companies managing both large and small projects. Including working with corporations such as Disney, Unilever and IBM. Whilst developing his skills and knowledge in the world of CG and Animation.
First learning how to build environments in Unreal Engine – he then went on to learn Blender and also Substance Painter and has been addicted to 3D creations every since.
