For this Aztec Style Temple scene, I’ve kept everything as low poly and optimised as possible. There are no bevels or subsurface mods to the temple objects. For the texturing, there is an atlas wrap for everything apart from the statue of the Aztec God. This statue has its own material – so there are two material slots in total.
I modeled everything in the scene and the God statue initially finished with around 272,000 faces, but after some basic retopology, I got it down to around 12,700. The Aztec statue is an amalgamation of some reference images I found and is not a historical re-creation of an Aztec God.
