Landscape Height Maps
Height Maps for video games, animations or 3D environments.
The heightmaps available from this page, are provided for free under a CCO 1.0 Universal creative commons license.
You may need to scale the height of the terrain to get the best effect. When importing the height map the edges may get stretched or don’t fit exactly – this can be fixed by cropping the heightmap or using available sculpt tools.

Mountain Range Height Map
Height Map Resolution: 8192 X 8192
Diffuse Map: 8192 X 8192
File Type: EXR and PNG
Notes:
The Diffuse map is an EXR and is saved in a linear format so may look washed out. Please increase the gamma to adjust the look.
Consider using the height also a bump map to bring out the details even more.
The resolution and file types produce much higher detail and quality – but you may wish to convert these to another file type to produce better performance if using in an animation or video game.
